The song Breathe by Blue Cantrell featuring Sean Paul. Blu Cantrell whose actual name is Tiffany Cobb is an American R&B and soul singer and songwriter. On May 25 2020, Derek Chauvin, a white police officer knelt for 8 minutes and 46 seconds on the neck of George Floyd, an unarmed and handcuffed black man, killing him, probably because he was black. The vicious event which was captured on tape and literally promoted by the appalling silence or complicity of three other police officers shook not only the beautiful city of Minneapolis where I did some of my education but also literally engulfed much of the United States in peaceful protests, unfortunately mingled with hooliganism and looting. This seeming pattern of many police officers in some US cities to shoot unarmed black men, apparently became too much and the rejection of it has now spread to major cities around the world, with massive support from Whites and Blacks and people of all races and nationalities.
The bottom line is this. This sad and shameful incident of George Floyd’s murder is witchcraft at its highest. Witchcraft is power without authority. Quite often people in government positions use witchcraft to silence others. When you discriminate against or victimize certain people you are being grossly inefficient in the allocation of resources, killing productivity and much economic value. He begged that he couldn’t breathe. Officer Derek Chauvin should have let George Floyd breathe. Indeed when you in public office stifle rights and efficiency through fraud and selfish motives you are kneeling on the neck of the economy, suffocating it to death. Let the people breathe. Our hidden economics for you.
